Apologies for not posting much recently. I started keeping a journal. Turns out, I’m exactly the type of person that should keep a journal.

I discovered a few personal truths thanks to my Moleskine.

1. Going beyond “like” and “dislike” into particular traits gives me no end of trouble. This drives people mad. Girlfriends in particular.

2. I can’t keep secrets. It’s too much work. Telling everyone the truth all the time requires the least amount of thinking.

3. I like to think I’m honest, but that’s not quite right. I’ll answer any question honestly, but I don’t volunteer information.

My hair dried like this. I think I’ll keep it like this for the rest of the day.

I dropped out of college today.

Thanks to the torrential rains yesterday, I discovered my backpack is not, in fact, water proof. I trekked over to REI to find a replacement. I decided to go full hipster and get a Timbuk2 messenger bag.

I’m liking it so far. It’s kind of like a bucket with a shoulder strap.

A few weeks ago, I moved back home for the summer. I started working an internship at Cisco. I started biking every day. I stopped taking pictures.

I can’t say I’m happier at home. But I like being in my old room. With my half-tone gradient painted on the wall. And not much else.

I searched my blog for “paint” to see if I posted about my wall before. I haven’t. But, I stumbled upon Waste of Paint by Bright Eyes.

Like art could save a wretch like me, with some ideal ideology that no one could hope to achieve.
