Hello! I'm Taylor, but you can call me Gompers (everyone does anyway). I go to UT Austin for computer science. I'm 20, which is the oldest I've ever been. I live on the internet, so if you want to contact me, you've got lots of options.

  1. 37signals to Drop IE6 Support

    cubicle17:

On August 15th, 2008 we will begin phasing out support for Internet Explorer 6 across all 37signals products. In order to continue using the products without any hiccups, Internet Explorer 6 users should upgrade to a newer browser

This should make my web design life much easier. IE6 is a constant bear on web designers/developers and as more big-name sites (Apple’s me.com being another) begin to drop support for IE6, the rest are soon to follow.

When do you decide to stop supporting a browser? About two years after the newer version is released, apparently? How many people claim to support Opera 8 or Firefox 1 or Safari 2?
